Commercial Pilot Prerequisites
Before any flight training, the student will have to prove US Citizenship. This can be done by either presenting a US Passport or Birth Certificate. The TSA will need you to undergo a background check before beginning flight instruction if you are not a citizen of the United States. Visit www.fts.tsa.dhs.gov to complete the background application.
The students need a private pilot or commercial certificate to apply for this training.
Requirements
At least 250 hours of flight
100 hours of PIC
50 hours of cross-country
20 hours of training
At least 10 hours of solo time

The cost for the commercial rating is difficult to estimate since it depends on the hours logged when starting training. The below breakdown is based on only needing 20 hours of training.
